Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College reverently observed the Smritidin (death anniversary) of Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe. The occasion was marked by a program of homage and literary remembrance, celebrating the life and contributions of this extraordinary folk artist and social reformer.

The commemoration began with the traditional lighting of the lamp (Deep Prajwalan) and floral tributes to Annabhau Sathe’s image. Following this, students presented a dramatic portrayal based on Annabhau’s literature, bringing his powerful stories to life.

Principal Dr. R. Arasule Sir emphasized that Annabhau Sathe was not merely a literary figure, but truly the voice of the working class. He explained how Annabhau’s stories vividly depicted the sorrow, struggles, and hopes of the deprived sections of society.

Dr. Arasule Sir highlighted that Annabhau Sathe’s challenging life journey inspires students with persistence, self-awareness, and a strong social consciousness. His literature, encompassing folk tales, novels, and powadas (ballads), served as a powerful tool for social awakening and advocating for the rights of the marginalized.

By observing Annabhau Sathe Smritidin, Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College reaffirms its commitment to fostering social awareness, empathy, and resilience among its students. The event encouraged students to draw inspiration from Annabhau’s life, understanding the importance of fighting for justice and giving a voice to those unheard, thereby contributing to a more equitable society.
