On July 10, 2025, the sacred festival of Guru Purnima was celebrated with immense fervor and devotion at Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Trimurtinagar. The occasion, steeped in cultural, spiritual, and educational significance, was meticulously organized by the college to foster a deep sense of respect, gratitude, and affection towards teachers among the students. The atmosphere was charged with positivity, reflecting the profound bond between gurus and their disciples, a tradition deeply embedded in Indian culture.

Guru Purnima is a day dedicated to honoring one’s spiritual and academic mentors, acknowledging their invaluable role in shaping lives and guiding individuals from darkness to light. It is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashadha, signifying the importance of learning and reverence for knowledge-givers. For the students of Trimurti College, this celebration served as a powerful reminder of the indispensable role their teachers play in their academic journey and personal growth, aligning perfectly with the institution’s commitment to holistic development and traditional values.


A Celebration of Knowledge and Gratitude

The Guru Purnima program commenced with the traditional Saraswati Pujan and the lighting of the lamp (Deep Prajwalan), invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge. The event was presided over by Principal Dr. Changdevrao Arsule Sir, a guiding light for the institution. The stage was further graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Vice Principal Prof. Nikita Barge Madam and Dr. Anap Madam, Principal of D. Pharmacy College. Their presence underscored the collaborative spirit and shared commitment to nurturing future generations across the Trimurti Group’s diverse educational offerings.

Also present on the dais were numerous respected faculty members: Prof. Santosh Jawale, Dr. Nilofer Pathan, Prof. Ashutosh Palhare , Prof. Rahul Borude, Prof. Akshay Devtarse, Prof. Pravin Avare, Prof. Sainath Bhavar, Prof. Yogita Gaikwad, Prof. Pranjal Thorat, Prof. Somnath Khedkar, Prof. Gorakh Gund, Prof. Sukalkar, Prof. Geeta Jadhav, Prof. Mayuresh Argade, Prof. Bhagyashri Kolhe, Prof. Aniket Arsule, and Prof. Gangurde Babasaheb. Their collective attendance highlighted the unity and mutual respect that forms the cornerstone of the Trimurti College community.

During his presidential address, Principal Dr. Arsule Sir delivered an inspiring discourse on the profound significance of the Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition. He eloquently articulated that, “Gurus are not merely dispensers of knowledge; they are lighthouses that dispel the darkness of life and illuminate the path forward.” His words resonated deeply with the students, emphasizing the transformative power of a guru’s guidance.

Following suit, Vice Principal Prof. Nikita Barge Madam and Dr. Anap Madam offered valuable advice to students, urging them to make the most of their teachers’ guidance to achieve success in life. Prof. Santosh Jawale Sir further elaborated on the crucial position of teachers in a student’s life and their invaluable contribution to shaping their personalities and careers. Prof. Palhare Ashutosh Sir also expressed his heartfelt sentiments, sharing his insights on the revered Guru-Shishya bond.

The program was enriched by various cultural performances presented by the students, showcasing their talent and heartfelt gratitude towards their teachers. These included melodious Guru Vandana songs, evocative poems, and inspiring speeches dedicated to gurus. Students Puja Doiphode and Bhasme Shraddha, among others, expressed their personal sentiments, recalling specific instances of their teachers’ contributions and guidance. These expressions collectively radiated a deep sense of respect, cultural values, and profound gratitude towards their mentors.

The proceedings were skillfully compered by Prof. Rahul Borude Sir, whose engaging style kept the audience captivated. Prof. Somnath Khedkar Sir delivered the vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to all attendees for making the event a memorable success.

This Guru Purnima celebration was a resounding success, fostering a vibrant atmosphere where students and teachers collectively reflected on the importance of this ancient tradition and the evolving role of gurus in modern times.
