Celebrating Creativity: ‘Srujanrang’ Cultural and Literary Competition Concludes with Grand Finale

A Platform for Talent: Srujanrang 2025 Showcases Student Excellence

On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the grand finale of the ‘Srujanrang’ Cultural and Literary District-Level Competitions was held with great enthusiasm at New Arts, Commerce and Science College (Autonomous), Ahmednagar. The event, organized jointly by Savitribai Phule Pune University, the National Service Scheme (NSS), and the host college, aimed to foster a spirit of scientific and artistic research among students.

The program began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by an introduction from Prof. Ganesh Nimse, who outlined the event’s schedule and vision. During the inauguration, the esteemed guests shared their motivational thoughts, encouraging the students. The competition featured a wide range of events, including Poetry Recitation, Essay Writing, Elocution, Wall Painting, Powada Singing, and Street Play, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges in Ahmednagar district.

The inaugural session was graced by special guests Mr. Krishna Bhadalkar and Mr. Shantanu Lamdhade, both Senate Members of Savitribai Phule Pune University. They were joined by Mr. Sandeep Palve (Management Council Member), Dr. Nayana Kadale, and Dr. Abhijit Kulkarni (Director, Student Development Board), all of whom encouraged the students. The session was presided over by Principal Dr. Balasaheb Sagde of the host college.

Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Nevasa Phata, was well-represented by its talented students who participated enthusiastically:

  • Street Play (FYBCS): Khatik Shravani, Darunte Vidya, Gawli Shubhangi, Gawli Mayuri, Fopse Gayatri, Bankar Sonali, Hajare Apeksha.
  • Hindi Essay (SYBCS): Sonawane Pratiksha.
  • English Essay (SYBCS): Gawli Bhakti.
  • Marathi Essay (FYBA): Dhanwate Pradnya.
  • Hindi Poetry Recitation (SYBCS): Gonzari Nikita.
  • Marathi Poetry Recitation (TyBSC): Kardile Shravani.
  • Marathi Elocution (TyBSC): Doifode Pooja.
  • Poster Making (FYBCS): Darunte Vidya.

The students’ participation was meticulously planned and implemented by the college’s NSS Department, under the leadership of Program Officer Prof. Pranjal Thorat and Assistant Program Officer Prof. Ashutosh Palhare, who also guided the students throughout the competition.

The valedictory session was attended by Prof. Swamiraj Bhise Sir (NSS Member, SPPU) and Dr. Sanjay Kalamkar (Vice Principal, Commerce) as chief guests, with the latter presiding over the session. The artistic performances by the students received an overwhelming response from the audience, who were captivated by the emotional poems, impactful social messages in the street plays, and heroic tales in the powadas. The organizers expressed that ‘Srujanrang’ significantly helps in developing self-confidence, leadership qualities, and social awareness among students.
