A Clean Devotion: Trimurti College Volunteers at Mauli’s Holy Shrine

“At Mauli’s Doorstep, A Pilgrimage of Cleanliness”: Trimurti College’s Social Responsibility Initiative

Date: 22/07/2025  Location: Newasa

Shri Kshetra Nevasa, a sacred land blessed with the holy heritage of the Saint tradition, is renowned as the workplace of Sant Dnyaneshwar Mauli and the birthplace of the revered Dnyaneshwari scripture. As is customary every year, on Ashadh Vadya Kamika Ekadashi, millions of devotees gathered here for a glimpse of Mauli. The immense crowd, while a testament to faith, unfortunately resulted in a significant accumulation of waste across the temple premises, cooking areas (pakashala), gardens, and surrounding vicinity. Recognizing this critical need for community well-being, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Department of Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Nevasa, under the Trimurti Pawan Pratishthan, organized a dedicated cleanliness drive titled “Mauli’s Doorstep – A Pilgrimage of Cleanliness” (“माऊलीच्या दारी, स्वच्छताची वारी”).

The primary objectives of this initiative were multi-faceted: to maintain the sanctity and cleanliness of Sant Dnyaneshwar Mauli’s holy abode, to raise awareness about cleanliness among the devotees, and to instill a strong sense of social responsibility and the dignity of labor among the students. The entire endeavor was purely voluntary and service-oriented, with cleanliness work being the central focus. Accumulated waste, including plastic, papers, food items, gutkha packets, and bottles, was systematically collected from the temple premises, cooking areas, Dnyaneshwar garden, and main roads, and appropriately transported to the waste disposal site. This initiative transcended mere manual labor, evolving into a beautiful confluence of social participation, environmental consciousness, and devotion.

A Collaborative Effort for a Sacred Cause

The “Mauli’s Doorstep – A Pilgrimage of Cleanliness” initiative was diligently executed on July 22, 2025, the day after Kamika Ekadashi. The main area of operation encompassed the Shri Dnyaneshwar Temple premises in Nevasa, along with adjacent areas and public spaces. This impactful program was meticulously organized by the NSS Department of Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Nevasa, with invaluable cooperation from the Temple Committee.

The students received inspiring guidance from the college’s respected Principal Dr. R. Arasule Sir and Coordinator Dr. Gore Madam, which significantly boosted their enthusiasm and ensured the disciplined execution of the entire endeavor. The planning and implementation of this crucial initiative were led by the National Service Scheme Department, under the guidance of Program Officer Prof. Pranjal Thorat and Co-Program Officer Prof. Ashutosh Palhare. Their leadership ensured a smooth and effective operation.

A number of respected faculty members were also actively involved during the initiative, providing crucial support and motivation. These included Prof. Santosh Jawale, Prof. Mayuresh Aragade, Prof. Rahul Borude, Prof. Pravin Avare, Prof. Amruta Devkar, Prof. Sujata More, Prof. Nitin Chirmade, Prof. Akshay Devtarse, Prof. Sainath Bhavar, Prof. Yogita Gaikwad, Prof. Somnath Khedkar, Prof. Gorakh Gund, Prof. Sukalkar, Prof. Aniket Arasule, and Prof. Gangurde Babasaheb. Their guidance and active participation were instrumental in the successful organization of the initiative. A total of 60 dedicated student volunteers enthusiastically participated in this community service effort, demonstrating their commitment to social welfare.

The initiative commenced at 9 AM with an introductory session and guidance for the volunteers. They were provided with essential tools such as gloves, garbage bags, shovels, baskets, and brooms, and then divided into different teams, each assigned specific areas of responsibility. With great dedication, each team began their cleanliness work in their designated zones. The collected waste, which included various plastics, discarded papers, food remnants, gutkha packets, and bottles from the temple premises, was systematically gathered. Accumulations of dirt and debris under the trees in the garden were also meticulously cleaned. All collected waste was then properly transported to the designated waste disposal site.

This unique initiative embodied several distinctive features. The students worked with immense enthusiasm and a profound spirit of service. There was a visible sense of spiritual satisfaction among the participating students, as they had the honor of cleansing the holy land of the saints. The drive successfully raised awareness about cleanliness among the devotees, and the revitalized, clean surroundings enhanced their experience of visiting Mauli. The initiative truly brought the principle of “Cleanliness is Service” (स्वच्छता हीच सेवा) to life. Through this effort, the NSS Department of the college not only instilled a strong sense of social responsibility but also provided a significant local impetus to the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” (Clean India Mission).

The initiative received notable coverage in local newspapers and on social media, amplifying its message. Furthermore, posts featuring photographs of the event were published on the social media pages and website of Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Nevasa, celebrating the students’ dedication.

Overall, the “Mauli’s Doorstep – A Pilgrimage of Cleanliness” initiative proved to be a powerful blend of social, environmental, and spiritual commitment. It transcended the mere act of keeping the surroundings clean, evolving into a transformative experience that instilled values of service, dignity of labor, and a sense of duty among the students. This endeavor was a sincere attempt to put the teachings of the saints into practical action.

The National Service Scheme Department extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the student volunteers who participated, the college administration, the Nagar Panchayat, the Temple Committee, the Police Administration, and the media representatives for their invaluable support. Such initiatives stand as a testament to how college education at Trimurti is becoming increasingly community-oriented and values-driven, truly shaping responsible citizens for the future.

Yoga, an ancient practice originating from India, has gained immense popularity for its ability to foster harmony between the body and mind. It’s a powerful tool that integrates physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation, and ethical principles, leading to a balanced and peaceful existence. In today’s fast-paced world, where stress and sedentary lifestyles are prevalent, the practice of yoga offers a much-needed sanctuary for rejuvenation and inner peace. Connecting Yoga’s Principles with Trimurti’s Vision

The celebration of International Yoga Day at Trimurti College is deeply rooted in the foundational principles of the Trimurti Pawan Pratishthan, established by our visionary founder, Shri Sahebrao Ghadge Patil Saheb. His philosophy of holistic education, which emphasizes the development of the mind, body, and spirit, aligns perfectly with the tenets of yoga. Our unique “military pattern” education already instills discipline, focus, and physical fitness, and yoga complements these aspects by adding a crucial dimension of mental and emotional resilience.

The benefits of yoga resonate directly with our mission to nurture responsible citizens and future leaders. A disciplined mind, a healthy body, and an empathetic spirit are essential for effective leadership and positive societal contribution. By encouraging the practice of yoga, we aim to:

  • Enhance Mental Clarity and Focus: Crucial for academic excellence and effective decision-making.
  • Promote Physical Well-being: A strong and healthy body is the foundation for a productive life.
  • Cultivate Discipline and Self-Control: Core principles of both yoga and our military-style training.
  • Foster Emotional Balance: Helping students navigate challenges with greater calm and resilience.
  • Instill Values and Ethics: Many yogic principles like non-violence (Ahimsa) and truthfulness (Satya) align with the ethical framework we promote.

The positive response to the event underscored the growing awareness among our students and faculty about the importance of self-care and balanced living. We believe that incorporating practices like yoga into daily life is crucial for navigating the demands of modern education and preparing students for successful and fulfilling lives.

The International Yoga Day celebration at Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College was a resounding success, inspiring all who participated to integrate this ancient wisdom into their daily routines. It was a powerful reminder that while we strive for academic and professional excellence, true success also lies in cultivating inner peace, physical vitality, and a harmonious relationship with ourselves and the world around us. We are proud to foster a campus environment where well-being is prioritized, and every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential – in mind, body, and spirit.

Cherishing His Vision: A Life Dedicated to Education

Date: 10/06/2025  Location: Trimurtinagar, NewasaPhata

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the entire Trimurti family, including the students, faculty, staff, and management of Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, offers a heartfelt tribute to our revered founder, Hon. Shri Sahebrao Ghadge Patil Saheb. On this day, June 10, 2025, we pause to reflect on the extraordinary life and indelible legacy of a visionary leader whose unwavering dedication to education transformed countless lives and uplifted entire communities.

Shri Sahebrao Ghadge Patil Saheb was far more than just a founder; he was an architect of dreams, a beacon of hope, and a relentless champion for quality education, especially in the rural and remote areas of Maharashtra. His journey began with a simple yet powerful belief: that every child, regardless of their economic background or geographical location, has an inherent right to quality education. This conviction became the cornerstone of the Trimurti Pawan Pratishthan, a charitable trust he established under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, which has since grown into a formidable network of 14 schools and 11 colleges across Ahmednagar and Amravati districts.

A Legacy of Vision, Discipline, and Compassion

Shri Sahebrao Ghadge Patil Saheb’s approach to education was revolutionary. He didn’t just build institutions; he built a philosophy. He envisioned a holistic education that combined academic excellence with strong military discipline, akin to the prestigious Sainik Schools. This unique blend aimed to impart not just knowledge but also courage, wisdom, and an unwavering sense of duty, shaping students into responsible citizens and future leaders. He believed that discipline and character were as crucial as academic prowess in molding well-rounded individuals.

Beyond the classrooms, Saheb’s compassion knew no bounds. He was a true social reformer, actively working towards the upliftment of the underprivileged. His most poignant initiative, the “Girls Adoption Scheme,” stands as a testament to his profound commitment to gender equality and rural empowerment. Each year, this scheme provides absolutely free education, hostel, and food facilities to 300 bright girls from rural areas, breaking barriers and enabling them to pursue their dreams. His regular donations to various blood banks, charitable trusts, and religious organizations further underscored his expansive humanitarian spirit.

Shri Sahebrao Ghadge Patil Saheb’s selfless service and remarkable contributions did not go unnoticed. He received numerous accolades and recognitions throughout his life, including:

  • The prestigious Certificate of Fidelity, Courage, and Good Conduct from the President of India, Late Shri Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy, in 1982, for his selfless service in the Indian Army.
  • An Award of Excellence by the Governor of Maharashtra, Late Shri P.C. Alexander, in 1997, for his dedicated service as Asst. Municipal Commissioner in BMC.
  • Awards for his excellent work in the field of education in rural Maharashtra from organizations like the Public Trust Foundation Association (2012) and Punjabrao Deshmukh Rashtriya Shikshak Parishad (2012).
  • The Trimurti Pawan Pratishthan itself was recognized as the best Educational Trust run in a rural area by the Ahmednagar Zilla Mitra Mandal, Pune, and awarded by the Charity Commissioner of Maharashtra for effectively running educational institutions in rural areas.

These accolades are but a glimpse of the immense impact he had on society.

An Enduring Inspiration for Generations

The void left by Shri Sahebrao Ghadge Patil Saheb is immense, but his spirit and vision will continue to guide the Trimurti family for generations to come. His unwavering dedication to education, his belief in discipline, his compassion for the marginalized, and his innovative approach to holistic development are the pillars upon which Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College stands.

As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life lived with purpose, integrity, and immense love for humanity. We pledge to continue his noble mission, ensuring that his dream of accessible, quality education reaches every deserving child. His memory will forever inspire us to strive for excellence, serve our community, and uphold the values he so passionately championed.

The entire Trimurti community extends its deepest condolences to his family and vows to carry forward his legacy with the same passion and dedication that he embodied. He may have departed, but his vision shines brighter than ever, illuminating the path for thousands of students and educators.

A Timeless Tribute: Trimurti College Celebrates Shivrajyabhishek Sohala with Reverence

Honoring History: Shivrajyabhishek Sohala Celebrated at Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College

Date: 06/06/2025  Location: Trimurtinagar, NewasaPhata

The campus of Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College in Newasa Phata recently resonated with fervor and national pride as it reverently celebrated the Shivrajyabhishek Sohala – the Coronation Ceremony of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The auspicious occasion was marked by a heartfelt Aarti ceremony, paying homage to one of the greatest warrior-kings in Indian history, a figure whose ideals of Swaraj (self-rule), justice, and valor continue to inspire generations. This celebration reinforced the college’s commitment to nurturing students who are not only academically proficient but also deeply rooted in their cultural heritage and patriotic values.

The Shivrajyabhishek Sohala commemorates the historic day in 1674 when Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj formally crowned himself the sovereign of his Hindavi Swaraj. This event was far more than a mere coronation; it was a profound declaration of independence, a symbol of self-respect, and a monumental achievement against the oppressive forces of the time. For centuries, the people of Maharashtra and beyond had yearned for self-rule, and Shivaji Maharaj, through his strategic brilliance, military prowess, and unwavering dedication, turned this dream into a tangible reality. His coronation solidified his position as a legitimate ruler, establishing a powerful and just administration that prioritized the welfare of his subjects.

At Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, the celebration of Shivrajyabhishek Sohala serves as a powerful reminder of our rich legacy and the principles that underpin our nation’s identity. It’s an opportunity for students to connect with history, understand the sacrifices made for freedom, and draw inspiration from a leader who exemplified integrity, strategic thinking, and unwavering courage.

A Tribute to Visionary Leadership: Connecting Shivaji Maharaj’s Ideals with Trimurti’s Mission

The celebration at Trimurti College, a part of the esteemed Trimurti Pawan Pratishthan founded by the visionary Shri Sahebrao Ghadge Patil, deeply resonates with the core values we strive to instill in our students. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life and reign offer invaluable lessons that directly align with our educational philosophy of blending academic excellence with military discipline and holistic development.

Shivaji Maharaj as an epitome of leadership: His ability to unify disparate groups, manage resources effectively, and inspire loyalty among his followers exemplifies true leadership – a quality we meticulously cultivate through our unique ‘military pattern’ education. This approach, which imparts basic military training, helps develop discipline, decision-making skills, and the ability to lead from the front, much like Shivaji Maharaj himself.

Justice and Administration: Shivaji Maharaj was renowned for his just administration, prioritizing the welfare of farmers and common citizens, and establishing a robust system that was fair and efficient. This echoes Trimurti’s commitment to fostering a sense of social responsibility and ethical conduct among its students. We believe that education is not just about personal success but about contributing positively to society and upholding principles of fairness and integrity.

Strategic Brilliance and Self-Reliance: His military strategies were legendary, marked by guerrilla warfare tactics that outsmarted larger, more powerful adversaries. His emphasis on building a strong naval force for coastal defense also demonstrated foresight. These aspects inspire students to think critically, innovate, and develop problem-solving skills, fostering a spirit of self-reliance and strategic thinking.

Patriotism and Cultural Pride: The Shivrajyabhishek Sohala itself was an assertion of indigenous identity and a source of immense pride. By celebrating this event, Trimurti College reinforces a strong sense of national identity and cultural pride among its students. It reminds them of the historical struggle for freedom and the importance of safeguarding national sovereignty and heritage.

The Aarti ceremony, performed with devotion and respect, created an atmosphere of solemnity and reverence, allowing students and faculty to reflect on Shivaji Maharaj’s monumental contributions. Such commemorations go beyond mere historical remembrance; they serve as living lessons that shape character and instill a sense of purpose. They encourage students to emulate the virtues of courage, wisdom, and selfless service that defined Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College is committed to preparing its students to be not just successful professionals but also responsible citizens and future leaders who are deeply connected to their roots and inspired by the enduring legacy of heroes like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. His reign remains a beacon of light, guiding us towards a future where freedom, justice, and self-respect prevail. The Shivrajyabhishek Sohala is a timeless reminder that with conviction and courage, even the most challenging obstacles can be overcome.

Remembering a Legend: Rani Lakshmibai’s Punyatithi Celebrated with Reverence at Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College

A Legacy of Courage and Patriotism Honored at Trimurti College.

Date: 02/06/2025  Location: Trimurtinagar, NewasaPhata

On June 2, 2025, the campus of Trimurti Arts, Commerce, and Science College, nestled in the historic land of Newasa Phata, observed a solemn and profoundly inspiring occasion: the Punyatithi (death anniversary) of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, as per the revered ‘Tithi’ (traditional Hindu calendar date). This annual commemoration is a vital part of our institution’s commitment to instilling patriotism, courage, and a deep appreciation for the valiant figures who shaped India’s destiny. The ceremony was a heartfelt tribute to the indomitable spirit of Maharani Lakshmibai Gangadharrao Newalkar, universally known as the iconic Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi.

The Unyielding Spirit of Rani Lakshmibai: A Flame of Freedom

Born Manikarnika Tambe in Varanasi on November 19, 1835, and affectionately called ‘Manu’ in her childhood, Rani Lakshmibai was destined for greatness. Unlike many girls of her time, Manu was raised with an unconventional upbringing that included training in horsemanship, swordsmanship, and martial arts – skills that would later define her legendary persona. Her sharp intellect, fearless demeanor, and exceptional command over various disciplines set her apart from a young age.

Her life took a significant turn when she married Maharaja Gangadhar Rao Newalkar, the Raja of Jhansi, and became Maharani Lakshmibai. However, their peaceful reign was tragically cut short by the ominous shadow of the British East India Company’s expansionist policies. Following the demise of her husband, and despite adopting a son, Damodar Rao, the British invoked the notorious ‘Doctrine of Lapse’, refusing to recognize her adopted heir and moving to annex the princely state of Jhansi.

Rani Lakshmibai’s fiery response to this injustice resonated through the annals of history: “Meri Jhansi nahin doongi!” (I will not give up my Jhansi!). This declaration was not merely a defiance but a powerful testament to her unwavering resolve to protect her kingdom and its people from foreign subjugation.

The Roar of Rebellion: Jhansi’s Stand in 1857

The year 1857 marked a pivotal moment in Indian history – the widespread uprising against British rule, often hailed as the First War of Indian Independence. Across the subcontinent, discontent simmered and eventually erupted into a full-scale rebellion. On June 5, 1857, the echoes of this uprising reached Jhansi, as sepoys stationed there mutinied. Rani Lakshmibai, initially hesitant to join the rebellion due to her focus on protecting Jhansi, eventually emerged as one of its most formidable leaders.

She personally led her forces, displaying extraordinary military prowess and courage, even leading cavalry charges against the well-armed British. She fought valiantly during the siege of Jhansi, showcasing a strategic brilliance that surprised her enemies. When the British recaptured Jhansi, she made a daring escape, leaping from the fort walls with her adopted son tied to her back, and continued her fight, joining forces with other rebel leaders like Tantia Tope and Rao Saheb.

Her fierce commitment to liberating her homeland knew no bounds. On June 17, 1858, while fiercely battling the British in Gwalior, Rani Lakshmibai attained martyrdom on the battlefield. Her sacrifice was not just the end of a battle; it was the birth of an immortal legend, a symbol of unparalleled courage, patriotism, and the defiant spirit of a nation yearning for freedom. She became the very ‘Inspiration Deity’ (Sphurti Devta) for countless revolutionaries across India.
